How a SENTECH ignition lead is built
A SENTECH ignition lead consists of a synthetic elastomer outer jacket, a reinforcing braid or tape, an insulating layer with excellent dielectric properties, a stainless conductor wound at 50 turns/cm on a ferromagnetic core, and a glass-fibre and polyaramid support core. The conductor and ferromagnetic material together suppress interference along the whole cable and give a stronger, longer spark.

1. Synthetic elastomer outer jacket, resistant to temperature changes (cold and heat) and to mechanical and chemical attack (water, brine, oils, fuel, etc.). It performs excellently in mechanical terms and its properties do not change over time.

2. Reinforcing braid or tape.

3. Synthetic elastomer insulating layer with excellent dielectric (insulating) properties. A high breakdown voltage means no micro-discharges.

4. Stainless electrical conductor, densely and spirally wound on a ferromagnetic core (50 turns/cm). It carries the high-voltage current while concentrating the induced magnetic field (interference) inside the cable.

5. Ferromagnetic material that absorbs interference. Items 4 and 5 form an interference suppression system along the entire length of the cable – giving a higher ignition current and a longer spark.

6. Synthetic core made of glass fibre and polyaramid, which supports the ferrite core.
