How a SENTECH copper core ignition lead is built

The SENTECH copper core ignition lead has four layers: a synthetic elastomer outer jacket resistant to heat, cold, water, brine, oils and fuel; a reinforcing braid or tape; an insulating layer with excellent dielectric properties and a high breakdown voltage; and a copper core.

Copper core ignition lead cross-section: outer jacket

1. Synthetic elastomer outer jacket, resistant to temperature changes (cold and heat) and to mechanical and chemical attack (water, brine, oils, fuel, etc.). It performs excellently in mechanical terms and its properties do not change over time.

Copper core ignition lead cross-section: reinforcing braid

2. Reinforcing braid or tape.

Copper core ignition lead cross-section: insulating layer

3. Synthetic elastomer insulating layer with excellent dielectric (insulating) properties. A high breakdown voltage means no micro-discharges.

4. Copper core.
