SENTECH ignition leads
SENTECH ignition leads have a metal conductor spirally wound on a ferrite core, giving low electrical resistance and very effective radio interference suppression. An inner insulation layer protects against breakdown and an elastomer outer jacket resists water, salt, oil, fuel and extreme temperatures. The leads meet ISO 3808, ISO 6856, VDE 879 and DIN 72550 standards.
SENTECH ignition leads (also called HT leads, or spark plug wires in the US) are ignition leads of the highest international quality. Their unique construction gives very good conductivity (low electrical resistance) combined with excellent suppression of all kinds of radio interference. Low electrical resistance means easy engine starting and allows the whole ignition system to work without unnecessary load.
The metal conductor, spirally wound on a ferrite core, ensures a secure and reliable electrical connection while effectively eliminating the electromagnetic field that so annoyingly disrupts the car radio.
The inner insulation layer protects against electrical breakdown. The outer jacket, made of a carefully selected elastomer, protects the whole construction against environmental factors such as:
- water,
- road salt and brine,
- oils,
- fuel,
- low and high temperatures.

- Better engine performance
- Lower fuel consumption thanks to proper combustion
- Better radio and phone reception
Standards and certificates
The requirements that ignition leads must meet are set out in the following standards:
- ISO 3808/1
- ISO 3808/2
- ISO 6856
- VDE 879
- DIN 72550 – EEC 72245
SENTECH ignition leads also hold:
- a certificate entitling products to carry the safety mark, no. B/15/136/01
- a POCC (GOST R) certificate for Russia, no. POCC PL.MT14.B07599
- other certificates issued by vehicle manufacturers

- Types of ignition leadsSENTECH makes ignition lead sets for cars, racing and tuning, as well as leads for forklift trucks, gas-powered generators, motorcycles and unusual vehicles. Custom lead sets can also be made to order.
- General informationSENTECH ignition leads are made on modern machinery under the constant supervision of specialists, technicians and engineers, in line with EU safety requirements and quality standards. They come with a 2-year warranty. The materials used are recyclable, and silicone is used only where it is really needed.
- Technical informationThe ignition system must produce about 20,000 V across the spark plug gap at the right moment in the right cylinder; ignition leads carry this voltage from the coil to the plugs while suppressing radio interference. SENTECH leads use a stainless conductor spirally wound on a ferromagnetic core, combining inductive and resistive interference suppression. Lead classes A to F define temperature ranges from 80 °C to 180 °C.
- Order custom leadsSENTECH makes ignition leads to order. For the most accurate reproduction, send the original leads as a pattern, or detailed photos or drawings if that is not possible. Send the completed order form with any additional information to handel@gg.com.pl.
- DownloadsThis page offers files for SENTECH ignition leads and coils: cross-reference lists to other brands, bar code descriptions, drawings of single lead types, and descriptions of lead sets (groups 8000, 9000 and S) and SC ignition coils. SENTECH marketing materials are also available as a PDF.
